Did you know that this goes on, on a much smaller scale, every day in medical claims court? Most law firms who deal with medical negligence cases employ medical experts in a variety of ways, sometimes on a freelance case-by-case basis, and sometimes as a permanent member of their staff. Legal consultants review cases and provide their expert medical opinions about what occurred and if any negligence or questionable practices occurred. Years of experience is often enough to land you one of these jobs, but there are also legal consultant certifications you can earn to give you a competitive edge.
Clinical Instructor: If you enjoy teaching others and feel that you have a lot of experience to share, you might enjoy teaching clinicals to students learning your trade. While it usually requires a higher level degree to teach full time at a university, being a clinical instructor often requires just a bachelor’s degree and some experience. Clinical instructors supervise students in the lab or clinical setting and help guide them through the learning process.
